Our 11th Calendar year !!
Pam and I have now been together in eleven calendar years, easily a record for me. And it's as great now as it was at the beginning, back in the last millennium (recall that the year 2000 was the LAST year of the second millennium).
I begin my 64th semester at UNCG, excited as always about learning new things, teaching new things (like some Theatre classes I haven't done before), doing new things.
The fall ended with lots of media attention--frisbee playing, blood giving (and getting). I expect my "media presence" will be much less in the future, and that's good news, I guess, for everyone.
Here is a list of topics I will NOT be addressing today: White House gate-crashers (apparently there was another one I heard talking on GMA this a.m.), H1N1 flu, health care reform, the UNCG move to the Coliseum (despite having seen all sorts of disappointing numbers about the situation in the local paper), heiresses and "exotic" dancers recently found dead, etc., etc.

And finally, my grandchildren continue to be GORGEOUS [see above] !!
